Faya a youthful new sound to music were signed to Def Jam and released their first introductory tune in November 2003. Boops was a cover of Sly and Robbie that neatly highlighted their ability to flip from a pop style to a dancehall style. It was followed by further singles, “Must Be Love” which was in the UK’s top 20 and “Too Hot”, both in 2004, and the album “For the Attention” in early 2005, which reached gold status after released in Japan.

The album established their reality dancehall credentials because it featured the mighty Bounty Killer and UK dancehall phenomenon Sun Cycle Crew. Producers included the top Jamaican-based producer Jazzwad and Skatta. Working on the new album has been the highlight of the year for the girls so much of a highlight that they flew to Jamaica to work with some of the hottest producers there is out there. Luckily they also has the chance to vibe and work with some of the biggest names in dancehall including Ward 21, Voicemail, Flava, Chico, Itallis and so much more.
